Reading Immanuel Kant, a 18th century philosopher, is a bit of a slog. But trying his ethics out in person? I find it calming and grounding.

If you want to read more about Kant’s moral theory, Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is a nice place to start. In the episode, I spoke about the “Humanity Formula” (section 6 of the article).

And you know when you’ve been feeling out of place, but then you find someone who thinks like you? This happened when I picked up Nora Bateson’s new book, Combining. I’m scribbling notes in the margins, exclaiming “yes!” while reading, and sharing quotes at the dinner table. Encouraged by Bateson’s creative formatting, my dissertation has become way more whacky, too. Hooray!

Thanks for listening <3
